Kingfisher FM Election Debate - Thurs April 30th
Paul attended a live election debate organised by Kingfisher FM on Thursday evening. The panel comprised of both parliamentary and local election candidates who were asked a wide range of questions on current issues. Topics discussed were the Abbey Stadium, the Arrow Valley Countryside Centre, the REDI Centre, Travellers/Gypsies, Petrol Prices, a Hung Parliament, Electoral Reform and of course Immigration. Many thanks to all the team at the radio station who made us all feel very welcome.
Independent Network Press Launch - Weds April 21st
Paul attended the UK press launch in London for the final list of endorsed candidates by the Independent Network. The Independent Network now comprises of 47 candidates located across England and Wales providing people with a real choice from the mainstream political parties. In total there are 315 independent candidates running for election on May 6th, according to the Press Association. This is the largest number since 1885 when records began and almost double the number of independents that stood in the 2005 General Election.
Former independent MP Martin Bell OBE attended the event and addressed the media on behalf of the Independent Network. Mr Bell believes the time is now ripe for more independents - "If not now, when?" he says in an open letter to independent candidates - to take their place alongside Dr Taylor and Mr Davies, if they are re-elected. During the event Paul was interviewed by the BBC about his campaign in Redditch.

Independent Network Endorse Paul - Friday April 16th
Paul is pleased to announce that he has been endorsed by the Independent Network. The Independent Network is a non-profit organisation that promotes and supports independent candidates and non-party politicians.
Paul says "This is great news and a huge boost for my campaign here in Redditch. Independent candidates now have a national voice against the main parties and I'm proud to be part of the team".

Churches Together Question Time - Friday April 9th
The Churches of Redditch held an election Husting which Paul attended along with the six other declared candidates. The evening provided two and half hours of hot debate in which Paul answered questions on Christianity, Climate Change, The Middle East, Immigration, British Military Operations in Afghanistan and Building the Economic Recovery. Many thanks go to Tony Pitt and Pastor Jim Hidderley who provided an excellent chair to the meeting.
Sky News Interview - Thursday April 8th
The Sky News Political team recently hit the streets of Redditch within days of the General Election being called by the Prime Minister. Two camera crews canvassed Alcester Street in the town centre talking to passers by about their opinions on several hot issues including the MP's expenses scandal.
Paul gave a recorded interview alongside a live transmission that was carried out with candidates from the three main political parties. During the interview Paul explained that his campaign was being focussed on both local and national issues that were important to the people of Redditch.
