Dear resident

Independent MP's have a great history of success and one that has seen them reshape our political landscape. Most recently both Martin Bell, the man in the white suit, and Dr Richard Taylor from Wyre Forest smashed the three party grip on power and brought definitive changes to their constituents. With your support I can do the same for Redditch.

We have an MP who has achieved little in the 12 years she has represented us and a Conservative candidate who has been trying to get elected for 10 years and is now fighting her third election with few accomplishments to recommend her. Things have to change and I will drive hard to make sure that Redditch is at the top of everybody's agenda. What could be achieved, with no party whip and no party loyalties but just a single focus on making Redditch the best?

My priorities in the town will be jobs, education and making this a great place to live. I will campaign to re-open the decision, which is forcing the town to build an additional 7000 houses and stand against the proposed development of the Winyates triangle. We must protect those small spaces near our homes that are so precious to our everyday lives. Local people must decide and I will lead from the front on these issues.

Redditch has not received its fair share of funding and support from the Government or its regional agencies and none of the three main parties have any solutions. So whilst grants go to other areas we are forgotten. I will ferociously fight our corner to redress this unacceptable situation.

Like all good independents I will take a strong position on those national issues that are important to all of us. The economic recovery depends on us having full information, which requires the tax system being simplified so we all know what we are paying to the Exchequer and what we are getting in return. All three parties seem intent on baffling us with figures and this must not continue.

Politics has had a bad time of late with unjustified expenses, second homes, criminal charges and duck houses. Whatever they say this will only change with independent MP's fighting for the peoples justice. I will be a standard bearer of our values in that fight.

So if you want a focus on Redditch from an MP who can hold his own nationally and understands honesty and ethics then please consider me when you vote on May 6th. I will not let you down.
